🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻V from Kansas🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻This book had a lot of the elements that I have loved about the BDB. There were familiar favorite Characters likeButch, Hollywood, Doc Jane and Vishous. There was the familiar, hilarious banter between the guys. There was a check in and a side story, about Vishous. There was some steamy adult time and The great Jim Frangione was again the perfect narrator. However, the main Hero and Heroine’s story seemed incomplete. The book ends just when the couple decided to be together, despite the obstacles they must face. The Hero is a prisoner and they hadn’t rectified that situation. They don’t discuss what, if anything, can be done about their different life expectancies and nothing was discussed about Wolven society and/or lifestyles. I sure hope that there is a continuation of this story, otherwise, I’ll be very disappointed ☹️!

Loved the continuing saga and the intermingling of storylines with Black Dagger Brotherhood. Parts of the explanation for the prison antagonist's (Executioner's) continuing control over the remnants of The Jackal's comrades in the prison context is thin and unsatisfying as the plot goes (not discussing here to avoid any spoilers), but Rio is definitely engaging and a female of worth, Lucan is steady and cohesive as the male protagonist, and Jose de la Cruz, Butch, Rhage, and V added dimension and humor. Frangione did a really nice job with a lot of ancillary characters having to be voiced.Overall, a very enjoyable listen. Sorry it came to an end, but looking forward to the next book.

Much better than some of the recent BDB’s. I like the new group of characters and how the stories intertwine with the original BDB. Also, there was more build up and romantic tension than in some of the books, which I like, and some creative sex scenes.

excellent book.

I'm a huge fan of the entire series and it's always hard to choose favorites but this is a top 5 for sure. Ward has outdone herself.A great new romance, a beautiful Jose storyline, and some of the very, very best V/Jane/Butch stuff ever. Just finished it and starting over as soon as I post this. Thank you JR and please keep up the awesome work!

I really felt this was a melted down version of the first book which was disappointing because I feel like so much more could have been done here. I’ll read the next one but I feel like this was just an abrupt wrap up in the last chapter when the build up was so much then in the matter of a few pages it just ends. I would give specifics but I hate spoilers. I’m also not sure how the rest of the BDB was really supposed to tie in here I feel like they are more for form yes I read the end but again I’m the whole thing leaves you wondering if you wasted your time and money or if you want to keep reading

I love all the black dagger brotherhood. This new series is a good as all the others. J. R. Ward meshes all the characters so well, old friends and new. The only down side is waiting for the next book in the series.
