Synopsis
Publisher's Summary The new Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University's Walking One-Night Stand. Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby needs—and wants—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match. ©2011 Jamie McGuire (P)2012 Simon & Schuster

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?It gets under your skin right from the first chapterWhat was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Disaster? After Abby had been out with Parker and then Travis comes over to take her out on his motorbike Have you listened to any of Emma Galvin’s other performances before? How does this one compare? NopeAny additional comments?Loved this so much I read it twice in a row and then got the audiobook

Any additional comments? It was painful to read this, because the artistry of the telling of this relationship was so real, so intense, and so personally familiar. How many times did I want to shake Abby in to reality, show her all the stupid stuff she was doing, but heard the echoes of my own justifications in her thoughts and actions? *Audiobook*: Excellent reader. Emma Galvin is becoming a personal favorite. There were moments where I felt she was making Travis sound a bit too Jersey Shore, but I acclimated to it.

Would you listen to Beautiful Disaster again? Why?Yes of course. I read the book and listen to audio and I love it more ( love, romance, tragedy, drama and a super dreamy hot guy)Who was your favorite character and why?Travis he is sweet, hot, impulsive, hot temper he had everything )What does Emma Galvin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book? The perfect voice to the characters and their feelingsDid you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?I did; I cry, laugh got angry and happy. I m waiting for "walking disaster ", which is the book from Travis point of view.Any additional comments? To me this book is like Romeo and Juliet but with a happy ending

There are some books that you just can't put down or stop listening to. This is one of them.

This book was very entertaining. It wasn't life changing or earth shattering, just an easy listen.I related to the main character, Abby, and I think that most people could. It was a love story that could really happen.I liked how their love story started and progressed, and how it wasn't always perfect. As soon as I finished listening I bought Walking Disaster and listened to the story again from the eyes of Travis.I enjoyed BOTH and I loved seeing it from both perspectives.

I really wanted to like this book, it got a lot of great reviews. I hated it. and all I can say is I want my credit back.

This is a book meant for teens and very young adults.Immature thought processes, Poorly defined characters, and very weak plot.

What would have made Beautiful Disaster better? The story line, character development, everything. What was most disappointing about Jamie McGuire’s story? That she would encourage this sort of relationship at all ... she's doing a disservice to the young people by promoting such a dysfunctional and truly ugly "relationship".How did the narrator detract from the book? Her voice was whining and annoying throughout, even when she wasn't "acting" the characters, You didn’t love this book...but did it have any redeeming qualities? No. None.Any additional comments? It is very rare that I do not finish a book, but this was one of them. I kept hoping it would get better, to no avail. Do not buy this book, not even worth it if it is free. And I love all sorts of genres...

not what I expected.fell asleep 3x trying to listen. never got pastchapter 10.

Loved the entire series!!!At the end I felt like Travis and Abby were part of my family!
