Synopsis
Publisher's Summary Sophie Beckett never dreamed she'd be able to sneak into Lady Bridgerton's famed masquerade ball - or that Prince Charming would be waiting there for her! Though the daughter of an earl, Sophie has been relegated to the role of servant by her disdainful stepmother. But now, spinning in the strong arms of the debonair and devastatingly handsome Benedict Bridgerton, she feels like royalty. Alas, she knows all enchantments must end when the clock strikes midnight. Who was that extraordinary woman? Ever since that magical night, a radiant vision in silver has blinded Benedict to the attractions of any other - except perhaps this alluring and oddly familiar beauty dressed in housemaid's garb whom he feels compelled to rescue from a most disagreeable situation. He has sworn to find and wed his mystery miss, but this breathtaking maid makes him weak with wanting her. Yet if he offers her his heart, will Benedict sacrifice his only chance for a fairy tale love? ©2001, 2009 Julie Cotler Pottinger (P)2016 Recorded Books

After I bought this I wondered if I had made a mistake buying a Cinderella style storyline. But then the story did not go at all as I expected. It was a cute feel good story with an unforgivable wicked stepmother. A light romance for those of us who still want to believe in a happily ever after.

I really enjoy Julie Quinn and any book with Rosalyn Landor is guaranteed enjoyment of the narration, which can ruin a good story with the wrong narrator. I have listened to several of the Bridgerton Series and have enjoyed them all. This was jumped to the top as my favorite.

Another enjoyable Bridgerton story. Thank you Ms. Quinn. Ms. Landor as usual did a great job. She has great range.

rstoryline too predictable. did not need 2 epilogues.little reallism, in char actors, especially the males.

I love Julia Quinn and this is one of my favorites. Benedict and Sophie make me cry but theHEA is everything it is supposed to be.

Very enjoyable, the reader was perfect for this. A nice bon bon for easy listening.

I feel like I need to eat salad for a week to make up for the sweetness overload

if you liked Cinderella as a child you will love this book!Ienjoyed it very much.
