I can't understand all the negative reviews. All I can imagine is that this movie was obviously made with people like me in mind and, unfortunately for them, people who write reviews online aren't like me. Pity for them. This is hilarious. And very accurate in so many ways.

I liked the plot and it is nice to laugh with the jokes. Rudd and Mann do their parts well and they have a good cast around them. This is the kind of film people should watch and make fun of their own experiences. This is a nice one. However, let's not forget it is a comedy ... please, it is a comedy, ok? So, rule number one: it can not be so long. Long comedies make them, except for a few cases, boring! Films are funny when they have jokes and are practical. Period! So, if you are going to watch, be a little patient.

This is a waste of a talented cast. The dialog is painful and obvious, the situations are lacking in humor and wit and are very unpleasant. The characters are unlikeable. It's not entertainment at all. Paul Rudd is better than this. The only good thing is Megan Fox is good at the character she is playing. The ending makes you feel like you wasted the whole time since nothing is resolved in a positive manner. In fact it's quite depressing. Or was it meant to be a warning - don't get married and have kids? Don't watch this even if you are a fan of the stars.

This movie is a way to escape from life and experience something hilarious.this movie makes you feel like you are there it is a great choice and you shouldn't definitely watch it but I don't recommend for any one who is under the age of 13 there are a lot of rude scenes.

I went into this film with fairly low expectations, but boy was I pleasantly surprised. This was a great movie, with a ton of fantastic jokes, a storyline that a lot of people approaching 40 can relate to, and a great overall message. It is of course vulgar and crude at times, but it's an Apatow production, so you should know what to expect in that department by now. Fortunately it all comes together really well and makes for a really entertaining film. The only negatives were that it was a bit long (although it doesn't really feel its length for the most part), and I felt that Jonathan Lithgow's character could have been written a little bit better. Ignore the bad reviews; if you're a yuppie approaching 40 (or have already been there), you'll find plenty to love.
