I am a huge fan of the series and of Audible, but for them to allow this narrator to read the next book in the series is extremely disappointing. The narrator can make or brake a book, he broke this one. I've read every one of Rick Riordan's YA books starting with Percy Jackson. I've really enjoyed the Heroes of Olympus series...and then there was this one. It started slow and ended confusing. He took strange turns with characters I've grown to love (his choice, his characters, but really?) all in an effort to...well I'm not sure but some decision came out of nowhere it seems. The narration was okay, but sometime the narrator seemed to be speaking in the wrong characters voice. Probably time to end this series and move on. I wasted a credit and over 10 hours on this one.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you? If audible had kept the original narrator. I can't believe the switch was made. Had Nick Chamian narrated the original, we never would have made it past the few book. Just learned that he's narrating the last one as well. May not listen to it as a result. Who was your favorite character and why?None. They all lost their personality. What didn’t you like about Nick Chamian’s performance?It was painful to listen to. A terrible, monochromatic disappointment. You didn’t love this book...but did it have any redeeming qualities? No. It would have been fine fun with original narrator. Any additional comments?The last two books should be re-done with one of the original narrators. It's not right to do this to your listeners.

I was unpleasantly surprised that Joshua Swanson was not narrating the House of Hades. I have fallen in love with other series narrated by Josh like the Secret Series , which is a Young Adult book like the House of Hades. I hope Joshua will return in the next book!

why did he make Annabeth so whiney? worst voice choice ever. made it hard to get through because of this. does he have a problem w making female characters that are literally warriors sound strong? are his voices so limited that the only option to differentiate gender is to make women whiney? gross. thats all I have to say.

The House of Hades was a great read.. I have really enjoyed reading/listening to it, toomany events right from the start of the book..There was many new characters and too many old characters coming back.. some of them get a crucial part in this book and others just pass by. One of the reasons why i liked this book is that you feel that all the charactersare growing up, some of them physically, others by how they act... also secrets come out too..honestly i feel The House of Hades is the best so far, and i can't wait to see how the next book will be like.

His voice was slightly dry even in the action parts. Hassel's voice, Leo's voice and everyone's voice just sucks. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?I keep putting this book down, I just can't follow do to the fact the narrovator can't do the characters voices well. What disappointed you about The House of Hades?It's sad when an author has to get people hooked to a story and then start promoting the gay agenda. The book is aptly named, House of Hell. I will not be buying or reading anything else from this author. Immorality is what killed Rome; it will also be the down fall of America.
