I only use surprisingly because I first heard of this book on TikTok being used as someone's audio with a picture montage. Books with portions of the stoty being used on TikTok are hit or miss. Anyway, I lost my husband 9 months ago, so this book really hit me in my feelings. It was a beautifully tragic story that made me feel so many things. The author wonderfully captured the power and pure, raw emotion that is grief, and even more so the confusion and inability to forgive oneself that comes with complex/complicated grief. The only part I didn't like was the tone and sound of Ledger's voice. It was just too much at times. It was very booming at places that could have and should have been more delicate. Overall, I give it a 9.5/10. not bad at all for a book I learned about from a random TikTok audio.

The emotional happy/sad gut punches will leave you crying….a lot. Absolutely terrific book.

It was beautifully written, somewhat realistic, and very, very well read. It is an easy listen.

Colleen Hoover has a magical way of pulling a reader in instantly, with a single character. Then, she slowly introduces more characters with delicate, yet perfect timing. Reminders of Him is a book that has you loving and despising almost every character, at different moments. It’s so realistic because that’s life: seeing the flaws and great qualities of individuals and then deciding whether or not to allow them into your heart. This is a must-read and falls right in line with every other book I’ve read from the author. Flawless and so very human. As a mother who is so severely flawed, I felt this on a soul level. If you’ve experienced the pain of love, loss, and the beauty of parenthood – this book is for you!

I’m a big fan of her writing but this was just good for me. I found it predictable and a little boring but still wanted to get to the conclusion.

I struggled to finish this one. It didn't draw me in as much as the rest of Colleen Hoover's books have. It was okay, just not my favorite.

The writing was very bad. I wanted to love this book and waited a long time for it to come out. When you read things like "she was sad, very very sad, she looked sad" or "she tasted like apple, I'm not sure why she just drank coffee. Apple is my favorite fruit now" you have to shake your head. The conflict wasn't there, she is still in love with her deceased bf obviously. I feel like the hype was better than the book. Don't waste your credit, especially if you are older it won't interest you.

The story was good but would have benefited from an editor. There were MANY places in the book that were repetitive mentions where it was obvious they put the info in two places in the story and missed editing out the second mention. It just felt sloppily edited. Can’t beat the narration team though - they are both all stars and I could listen to either of them read the dictionary and be a happy girl. Light listen with happily ever after feels - worth the credit for sure.

Not sure what I expected from this book. But it was nothing like I expected. It is more a love story than a mystery or suspense story. I don’t really like love stories.Honestly this one wasn’t so bad. RECOMMENDATION:READ IT

i couldn't stop listening, so this is what my day looked like...I cried in my car.I cried at work.I cried in my car.I cried while we waited for our dinner reservation.I cried in bed.Beautiful, heart wrenching story, LOVE YOU COHO!

Ok. So I’ve read enough CoHo books recently to get a feel for her. I’m not sure what it is but the female characters always make me crazy. I wonder if she’s doing it on purpose. I like Kenna more than any others though. Well maybe Verity (!). This book was more angst filled and gut wrenching than any others. Well maybe the same, she gets me to a point where I just want to stop and move on to an author with less stress inducing anxiety. Maybe it’s just me. Ledger gave me whiplash at first, well honestly thru the book until the last couple of chapters I think. Anyway. It was ok. 3 stars. 🤷♀️

I’m a big fan of Hoover, but this book was wayyy too predictable. The love story didn’t have any substance. There wasn’t even that much connection between the main characters and then everything was resolved so quickly and effortlessly. Idk… it’s worth the read to pass the time but do r have high expectations .. voices are great though!

If it weren't for the characters (particularly the ridiculously named but incredibly charming, Diem), I could not have finished this hot house drama.Every plot point was contrived and has been done to death before by more skilled writers, but the characters of Ledger and Diem were generally lovely. The narration was very good, however, which helped me get through this train wreck.

I really wasn't a fan of this book, it was way too predictable and boring.

Almost Gave UpHonestly, love Hoover books, but I wouldn't recommend this one. The story felt like a first edit. I thought at first it was the narration, but realize it was short choppy sentences. I missed all those details typical in her writing.

I guess I didn't realize this would be a YA romance novel. It's the kind of story that would have been awesome to read when I was 14, but as a grown up it was so ridiculous and sappy that after 5 hrs I was done wasting my time. Time to cross this author off my list.
