The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat

Protagonist Yoto Yokodera is a high school student; outwardly he is a fairly quiet boy who enjoys athletics… in reality though he is proud to be the 'Prince of Perverts'! He rather wishes he could be honest about his feelings and one day he learns of a stone cat which can grant wishes. He wants to get rid of his façade… and the moment he does it becomes apparent that it wasn't a good idea as most people don't think being a pervert is something to be proud of. Yoto isn't the only person to use the stone cat; Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi uses it to control her emotions and finds that she is no longer able to express her emotions at all. The two of them soon realise they don't like the changes but changing back won't be simple and inevitably Yoto builds up a harem of female friends along the way. Given the title and the protagonist's main trait one could be excused for thinking that this is just another excuse for lots gratuitous fan service; there is some but fair less than one might expect. The characters are fun and it was amusing to have a protagonist who was happy to be a pervert rather than the cliché of having one who gets into awkward situations accidentally. As well as having some decent laughs there is a surprisingly emotional conclusion to the series. Over all I'd say this isn't a must see series but it is rather fun so is worth watching. The character designs are fairly generic but still look pretty good. These comments are based on watching the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
