cool

After watching the trailer, i looked for the full film expecting a good treat. After 10min into the film, i found myself fast forwarding in addition to doing my best to keep up with reading the English subtitles (as it's a Norwegian film). Still, i continued forwarding even more all the way till the end. Personally, i like watching a film rather than "reading" it. However, what got to me was the slow pace of the film. While the backbone storyline had potential, the execution left lots sighs. Little talking and lots and lots of people standing and looking shocked and includes them looking at others to see if others are also as shocked.

I enjoyed the film. The acting was good, the effects believable and the underlying message important. I want to urge people who visit this site in order to decide whether or not to watch a particular film to concentrate on the subject, the director, the actors and the writers. If some or all of those intrigue you, go for it. Pay as little attention as possible to the reviewers' remarks and opinions as they are often misleading and/or wrong. Do not let them sway you. Respect the time and effort people have put into creating the films and form your own opinions.

I think this movie is a great example of good, Norwegian quality. It includes great actors, respectable CGI, and a deep, cinematic experience. In my opinion, this one is better than both the Norwegian The Wave (2015) and The Quake (2018), and can easily beat several of Hollywood's disaster movies. Recommending!

Top notch terrifying and thrilling movie making! All of the effects, both real and CGI are completely realistic and enhance the incredible storyline. Acting, direction, production, sound, wardrobe, locations and even the dubbing into English are seamless and highly effective! I look forward to another movie from Norway, especially if it carries the same ecological theme (actually, it's a genre now). Bravo!

We enjoyed it a lot. Norway continues to pump out good flicks and series. It's great we can see other countries movies.. it, more than the internet, makes the world a smaller, safer place. Assuming we get rid of Putin, Xi and other nefarious evil characters on world stage. I think someday in next couple decades we will find world peace. Think I'm naisve? I remember when Norway was thought to be in that same category along with many others who now are great countries (some better than USA). If I had foresight I'd moved my family to Norway 30 yrs ago. Worth a watch for sure.

Largely made and created by the norwegian filmproductioncompany FANTEFILM. Do take notice of that co.and crew of norwegian silverscreenmagicians , they dare to kick the golden egg at every try it seems, and this film from the northsea oilfields is so crampacked with intense thrilleraction, actually appearing as collateral horrordrama that breathing at moments becomes hard to do, and your shoulders hanging like a clipfish on the rails, its just brilliant. What impress most is the vast amount of topics this film deepdives into, a regular lowbudget hollywood flick wouldve delved into one or max 2 deepdives into the disaster, this had 9, and the only comparable 100 mill pluss dollar production i can think of is deepwater horizon.and remember storegga is still out there... the acting is typical for the disaster genre, but more of a norwegian mind and spirit blended than others. Scored exquisitly with tension and guts , you wont land this one until hours afterwards. This film were very much harmed financially by the coronalockdown here in norway, and many people didnt even know about it, but now you know and do like the grumpy old man spread the rumour about ''nordsjoen'' or ''ocean on fire''. It will enthrol you for sure.
