Highly recommend this movie, but you won't find it under the title Liars. The title on Netflix is actually: Lies and Deceipt. I absolutely binged watch this series and re-watched certain episodes to make sure I saw, what I saw. The cast, the acting and enjoyed the originality of the script. Or at least, I haven't seen another series like this and wouldn't know what to compare it with. I did rank it an 8/10. Loved the subtitles aren't paraphrased it was word for word. Can't say much without spoilers which is why., I'm writing on this format. This movie is highly recommended, I'm now going to watch it in English to see if the translation holds up.

Where I like Katherine Kelly in most things, here she plays a cop who is quite unlikeable in terms of how she treats the suspects. Awful portrayal of a DI, poor.

I liked the series in general, but I did not love it. The positives are the good acting and the photography on an island, the beach brighten up the atmosphere a bit. Despite the unrealism the series is quite entertaining. The negatives: The feminism throughout the series is enormous! It starts in a very unrealistic way, the police investigating so actively from the beginning? That doesn't work like that, but it's a series and in this case pure fiction. Quite quickly the series begins to decline when introducing the story about the sister, which tarnishes the main theme, and above all it has nothing to do with it, it is only to fill minutes. The last two chapters are totally incredible and ridiculous, but also exciting. In the end you almost hate the victim, Laura, more than the rapist, a gun? Please! You've fallen under!! A pity that the main topic has not been treated with more respect and truthfulness.

I mean... where would he have hidden that big old camera in his suit pocket when he raped the lead camera? It was mediocre at best of times but that was just silly!

I loved these series. Captivating story, tension building development through episodes, unexpected turns, great acting. I watched all episodes in one set.

I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but honestly the series started out ok but then it just got worse. As in like seriously did the man hit his head a few times?? Not like he was a drug addict or alcoholic? Why in the world would you go and do the same thing and mess with a cop? Or go back to the victims house? Specially after she tried killing him a few months earlier? Guess he's got over his anxiety running into her earlier and the fear of guns? To me he look like he was about to score anyhow so why use a drug? The guy is an idiot. Not realistic. Cheesy.

Thoroughly entertaining and great acting, I recommend this who dunit story! It captivates by allowing the viewer to decide who is guilty of what. The actors are very talented. The story appropriately leads the viewer to different conclusions throughout. We don't know for sure which facts are facts until the end. Life lessons can be seen throughout. The entertaining of various life circumstances can be shown to be misleading. And let's include the fact that both genders could be caught at any given time in life destroying situations... that's a fact perhaps many of us want to avoid in life. Being drawn in to these type situations is to be avoided if one wishes to avoid drastic consequences.

If it's a spanish thriller is a masterpiece..Even if is a remake is much , much better than the original. The original was predictible, suspanceless, played by talentless actors. It's not the case of this TV Series.

One of the few Netflix movies or TV series I couldn't finish. It was boring, lacked intrigue ( it gave away the outcome half-way through ) Definitely a disappointing non-mysterious mystery, and I ended up feeling I had wasted a couple of evenings. I usually "hang in" till the end even if I'm not totally into the drama, hoping it will redeem itself. By the end of Episode 3 I gave up when the outcome became obvious . Even though I checked IMDb before watching I sometimes find a 6+ rating tolerable. Not this time. I cannot recommend it past saying " only if yiu have nothing better to watch can I suggest watching the entire series."

Very interesting up to a point. Very predictable in the end. Three comments: 1. The main reason we initially had some doubts about whether the woman protagonist is telling the truth, is that she had accused another man in the past for the same crime. But then, there were no other information about that, till the end. Assuming this was also true, this is an extremely rare coincidence. In the first case she withdrew the lawsuit. Why? It was a very important fact that we should know more about. 2. Not showing exactly what happened in the end,but staying in the viewer's imagination, has become commonplace and boring. 3. Sister's affair with the ex husband, was just there for more drama but didn't help the plot. The series had all the features to be perfect but unfortunately they did not get there.
