Probably the most disappointing drama I've ever watched kept waiting for it all to kick off and basically nothing until the last episode indeed you could just watch the 1st and last episode and enjoy it just as much and why put in sex scenes filmed so dark that it's impossible to tell who's at it

People actually told me to watch this. I will be removing them from my social circle. The biggest pile of tripe ever. First episode ok, the rest utter bilge. Characters bland, 'twists' obvious, no likeable characters, didn't care about the outcome and feel ashamed of myself for actually sitting through it all, wishing for the ending I wanted.

Is it a thriller? No Is it dramatic? Not really Is it binge worthy? No Is it one of those dramas that the bad guy isn't bad and it's all a waste of 6hours? Yes Is the cinematography good? Yes

Great story. Rich cast. Captivating acting. Beautiful locations. It just keeps you guessing and glued to your seat.

I'm taking a wild stab in the dark here, but without having seen even the first episode, I suspect that he is neither a gold digger nor an innocent but is someone seeking revenge on her or her family.

Only seen the first episode, will give it a couple more or maybe just wait till the last one to see if it is the feminist claptrap I suspect it is. OK I forced myself to see it through to the end, didn't see some of the twists coming, well the main one really, the fact he was a convicted murderer. I'm also not convinced he was the good guy, the smile on his face in the last scene as he looks out the window surveying all he now has a claim to could be a smirk saying 'I won' or it could just be he's happy, I'm going with the smirk. I hope it gets left there and no second series is made as I won't watch it. I have reduced my rating from 5 to 3. Notice it is written by a woman with a lot of women as executive producers and a director of 3 episodes. So this is unlikely to show the man as a good guy. I don't think it will be as straight forward as he's just after her money but neither do I think he's going to be truly in love. With the current obsession of portraying men as rapists/bad guys/idiots/liars/cheats/downtrodden (Have I missed anything out) he's going to be one of them. When was the last time you saw a drama where the woman was the bad one doing something bad to men? I'm getting really tired of it.

You really don't what to believe throughout. It's a brilliantly written series.

Finally a gripping tv show which isn't unrealistic! I'm really impressed with the amount of depth every character has in this drama; not one person has been underdeveloped or just left aside with no story of their own; even though this mini tv series is focused on Mother, Julia & the charming but mysterious Benjamin Greene, we also get a look in at where other characters lives are at & what waves of motions they're going through, including her three children. I've only watched the pilot, & I am hooked! For me, Benjamin steals it; he's written out as this naive young man, who is also very beautiful and full of adventure, this no doubtingly has Julia curious - a recently divorced woman with a BIG bank account, who has just turned 60, with no self confidence & lacking any form of love from family and friends around her; she is miserable & stuck in a routine of self doubt. So, when Benjamin and her have their first meet-cute during a museum visit in London, Julia's intrigued but also dubious to why anyone such as Benjamin Greene would ever take an interest in her? Well.... we don't either. Is he really this genuine guy who has been taken ahold of Julia's natural beauty and kind soul? Or, is he money motivated? Don't miss out on this incredible show!

Abysmal screenplay - like a lower sixth former might write. Add on over the top acting and one star seems too much!

Maybe if this had been pitched as a straightforward family drama it would have been less disappointing. But since everything about the show is framed as a thriller, it winds up being a complete letdown. First, there are almost no surprises or interesting reveals. The one reveal we do get is so relentlessly teased that one expects a major revelation. Unfortunately, it's a somewhat irrelevant plot point that amounts to a major shrug instead. The biggest problem with the show, though, is that Julia is a completely bland character with no discernible personality. As a result, one almost hopes Ben actually is a gold digger as it's the only reasonable explanation for him being with such a wet blanket.
