hi

what a self centered story, all about her.

loved it 👍👍👍

I thoroughly enjoyed this - I binge-watched it in one sitting. I'm a big fan of Jemima Rooper who played the step mum but I liked all the characters, except for the bullies obviously, and just thought it was a gentle, sweet story that was a bit of escape from reality. I love the Emily in Paris series and think if you enjoy them you will enjoy this as it has the same positive vibes, albeit with a more intimate understanding of the character due to the narration of her inner thoughts. 'Wilbur' was fabulous and Emily Carey was very likeable as the neuro divergent Harriet Manners, as well as being convincing as a contemporary model. I haven't read the books - I'm a bit old for the targeted YA audience - but I am certainly hoping there will be more of them turned into TV series.

Why should Geek Girls be 10 stars? I rarely rate anything 10 stars, but unlike most of the younger generational shows these days, Geek Girls was not full of sex, bad language, violence, nudity, etc., and that was honestly very refreshing. Anyone in their 40's and above remember watching "clean" shows, not including those of you who had cable and watched Skinamax .Of course, don't get me wrong, most of the "greats" do have all of the above (Outlander, GOT, The Sopranos), but this Netflix show is very different. It's not a Hallmark Mystery show, which I do like (I'm well rounded, no shame), but THIS is the Netflix show you'd been wishing for that had less of the graphic scenes, and more of the story, good acting, and one where you don't have to change the channel when your 5 year old walks in the room. Yes the storyline may be unrealistic, but what non kid friendly TV show, movie or "reality" type video is realistic? As far as the storyline.... The main character, Harriet, struggles with bullying until she is "found" by a modeling agency during a modeling show while on a school trip-yes, a stretch, but this is a fictional show. Harriet, still struggles with bullying in this new world; however, the moral of the story revolves around a teen girl finding and believing in herself, and gaining self confidence-all of which are attributes kids (and adults) struggle with. So...if you're looking for a good show to binge that you don't have to pause every time your kid walks in, then I recommend Geek Girls.

Loved it! Binge watched it today. Ik a lot of teen series are cringe but really enjoyed watching Geek Girl! With a great lesson, to always be yourself and love your self. The chemistry between Harriet and Nick was top notch! Everything was executed really nice. Also, something about it just brought out early 2000s vibes, which is something I absolutely love in tv series & movies! It could be an ''adaptation'' of Ugly Betty. I definitely recommend you to watch it. No idea what all the negative comments are about. Sure, the plot is pretty cliche and some things could have been executed a bit better, but personally it was a gem for my Friday night!

I don't necessarily think it was 'good', but I absolutely enjoyed all the episodes I binged in one go. I got totally swept up and rooted for the adorable character and her friendships and omg that sweet, sweet romance. Cliche but refreshing at the same time. Awkwardness is often seen as something to be avoided, but in reality, it's a natural part of being human. This series really encourages to see and embrace it. Believable? I dont know. Does it have to be? Emotionally I did buy in and thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Each episode captured the essence of coming of age, making me feel nostalgic and deeply connected to her experiences. I loved all the characters and it just gave me a wonderful time! Thank you!

The feeling I was left with was simply..chaotic. 90% of the movie was so cringe and awkward that It almost seemed as it was a school project. Bad play from the actors, no logic in the scenes. I hope teenagers will be satisfied, but I honestly think even a 12 years old won't be excited to watch this and follow it closely. Each character in this "script" felt so predictable and annoying. The suspense was not a good old suspense, but more like a stomachache and wanting to die as slowly as the scene goes. The narrator of the girl was making the stuff even worse. Worst chemistry between family and supposedly "love couple". A couple of hours of my life which I will never take back.

Well as a 'former' geek... This hit's hard if you look at the story, i felt like a polar bear in school every day... And ok she became a super model... But the entire base line here... Is... You can do it! Even if you don't fit in .. are the odd ball... There will always be people that see something special in you. And those people that hate you... Well f em! And stop hating urself! And now seeing my daughter also beeing that girl...i hope she grows up feeling this strenght! I love the storyline, and the story behind it! So i hope they make a season 2! My daughter will definatly see this show when she's a bit older!

Like, these feels like the ppl writing this show have no idea of ppl under the age of 25. No characters are fleshed out or believable. Also I've noticed a trend with teen shows made in the last three years, that everyone is extremely rich/middle class, extremely out of touch it seems tbh. It's boring the lack of substance. I wouldn't put the show on unless it for noise in the background, the acting is ok but honestly IM JUST OVER the whole thing. Shame as it had some potential to be interesting and funny but it's just like a tiktok drama. Also she isn't really very geeky, she's just a normal person with interests like what do you mean? Weak show.
