What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you? If the narrator wasn't so monotone or the writer not following the typical fiction formula What could Sarah J. Maas have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you? written any character that was more than two dimensional What didn’t you like about Elizabeth Evans’s performance?had a vocal range If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Empire of Storms?the opening is complete garbage if you want to start the book in the middle of a battle make me care if the characters die or notAny additional comments?getting my credit back from this book would still rob me of the time i wasted listening to it who approved this nonsense getting made into a audio book?! I picked it because it was a best seller but i think i agree with the blogs that audibles best sellers are rigged for sales not quality of material

Liked the first 4 books in this series. This book was boring, confusing, and just hard to follow Aelin is full of secret plans, none of which come to fruition until the critical moment.Over and over. That gets old really fast. Learn to communicate already! No more idiotic plot twists to get out of having written yourself into a corner. Sorry, but I was pretty disappointed.

When series span longer than 3 books, most tend to lose steam, stretching out the story line. That is the epitome of this book. Twenty -five plus hours could have been condensed into 4 or 5 hours. The story went no where with less than a handful of major events with countless filler inbetween. The addition of the soft core * segments between characters only further proved the book was stretched to the max due to a weak overall storyline. In the end, I was hooked having invested so much time in the series to date. However, I am not sure I will care much to be eagerly awaiting the next (and hopefully final book). Much like the "I am Number Four" series, this one lost its mojo when it could have been ended sooner on a very, very high note.

What would have made Empire of Storms better? If the romantic scenes left something to the imagination!WAY too graphic!!!!!I read children's & YA books for a reason, because I don't want to hear about all the graphic sex scenes. Also, there was way too much cursing for my taste. To me, it just takes away from the story. If you’ve listened to books by Sarah J. Maas before, how does this one compare?I like the story. It's fun & exciting, just like the previous ones. But I just don't like how, with each book, the more graphic the romantic scenes get.How could the performance have been better?I'm not a fan of the voice actress. The characters all sound the same.I like there to bedistinct differences for each character, so you know who's talking without having to go back to figure it out. What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment? A little disappointed, because I thought this was the last book in the series?

This book was GREAT.... not a YA book At all. Please do no let your Teenager read this.I do think that all YA books should be geared towards 18+ not 11-13 year olds

Tried to listen to this book and it became a * novel. Seemed like every moment she had the chance she threw pornographic language in. Had I not read this before my daughters they might have gotten too graphic a lesson. Really did not need to be in the book.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?YES!!! Great narrator and wonderful/thrilling/captivating plot! Best book of the series so far. The book left a gaping whole in my heart. I can't wait until the next book comes out.

This book is suppose to be written for the young adult market. That is 15 - 20 yr old.( 14 - 17 in bookstore definition ).It might be appropriate for 20 but NOT for 15.She spent forever going into very very graphic detail of a sex scene that could have been covered in less than a paragraph.I have no problem with that content in a book ... an ADULT book ... NOT something marketed in the young adult area.Shame on you Sarah Maas. You had a great story. I felt like someone handed me an exquisite gourmet mealand then someone came and poured cheap syrup all over it.

I have loved this series. But Sarah Maas' main flaw among all her books. Too many words. It's a great story but it's over saturated with descriptors and insignificant dialogue. I enjoyed the last 8th of the book. And now I have to wait for this dragged out adventure to continue...

Unfortunately I had to give this story one star. The romance between several of the couples is too intense and graphic and erotic. She is alienating her core group of fans!We have loved this series and this author. She has fantastic characters and plot. However, this will be the last book of the series that we will read.
