3rd grade - measurement— Episode 1

I explain the basics of the most commonly used metric units for measuring length: kilometers, meters, centimeters, and millimeters. In this lesson we first of all concentrate on "which is which" -- determining which unit is most suitable for a particular situation or measurement. Then, we practice a few simple conversions between meters and centimeters. Lastly we solve two word problems with meters & centimeters -- one involving perimeter and the other, stacking.
