Avo Talpas (1946-1979) was one of the best greco-roman wrestlers in Estonia and was destined to win at least a medal at 1980 Olympic games, but sadly died because of sudden disease. This prestigious tournament was held in the same old house where he trained over 50 years ago. Every year special trophies are awarded at Talpas weight category of 82 kilograms.
