Ireland’s former High Performance Head Coach, Zauri Antia, is reflecting on his 22 year career with IABA: the highs, the lows, and the people he met on his incredible boxing journey here. Zauri stepped down on November 19th, after a career in IABA which included 5 Olympic Games, 10 Olympic medals and over 150 benchmark medals. Internationally respected for his technical expertise, innovative coaching style, Zauri’s goal has always been to develop the Universal Boxer, one “who can fight any distance, any style” and his coaching has focused on ringcraft, attack and counterattack.
