In this week’s episode of Open Gym, newest Toronto Raptor Armoni Brooks, chronicles his journey to the NBA. From growing up and playing collegiately in Texas, to not hearing his name called on draft day, to finally reaching his ultimate goal, Brooks opens up about the difficulties in fighting for a spot on an NBA roster. Essentially auditioning for a job every time he steps on the floor, Brooks makes his Raptors debut on the first day of his 10-day contract and eventually turns it into a 2 year deal. And buoyed by Pascal Siakam’s second career triple double, the team wraps up a 4-0 homestand with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
