ACTION Co-produced, co-written and directed by R. Ellis Frazier starring Gary Daniels, he plays DEA agent, Cole heading to Tijuana, Mexico from the US in pursuit of tracking the cartels who kidnapped his journalist/reporter ex-wife, Sara (Alma Cruz). He does this with the help of a natural born Mexican woman, Gracie (Vannessa Vasquez) It has fights, it has guns but there was nothing memorable. And although, I love actor Gary Daniels since he is a natural martial artist this movie doesn't do anything for him. The fights are unconvincing as heck as well as the gun sequences. Talking about a poor excuse to exploit Daniels martial art persona.

Nothing Original, but well made, stylish with some decent action

In this day and age...with the death of video stores and studios only making Marvel or Twilight movies, classic 80s & 90s action films have been squeezed out and its a shame. But with the rise in VOD, studios need content as they make fewer films and this is where the likes of Gary Daniels and DTV action stars can shine once again. This movie, made on a budget of $1 million dollars looks great. Decent actors, good action and nice production values make this film enjoyable to watch. Gary gets some nice shoot outs, gets to flex his acting chops as well as his muscles and the only downside is lack of fights (which a Gary Daniels fan expects). But fear not, director and star reunite for there next film "Bullpen" which is a martial arts brawler...So to review Misfire on its own merits, it is an enjoyable 90 minute action film, that lacks action for the first 20 minutes, then gets better as the film goes on. 7/10 I enjoyed it.
