The Belgian playmaker, making his penultimate Etihad appearance ahead of leaving the Club in the summer after 10 glorious years, fired home on 35 minutes, despatching a fine Jeremy Doku assist. It was KDB’s 250th career goal involvement under Pep Guardiola and yet another example of his knack of being in the right place at the right time. Wolves made City fight all the way for victory and twice hit the woodwork either side of half time through Rayan Alt-Nouri and Matheus Cunha. But Pep Guardiola’s side got the job done to move another huge step closer to confirming a top-five finish and with it entry into next season’s Champions League.
