If anyone could relate to the issues presented in this series I can. This series would be far better served to have English CC that covered ALL of the dialogue; I find this a great disservice, and unfortunately other films have the same issue. I am a "boomer", born and raised in Arizona. Overt racial prejudices in other areas of the U. S. were not apparent in AZ, but the unspoken segregation was not lost on me; the damn attitude that "children should be seen and not heard" made me keep my own council, and not confront my parents. I sat on many questions such as "Why was there only one Chinese student in my entire grade school, and the other students were all white?" This was only one of many others. I knew my parents weren't prejudiced. On one occasion, (a long buried memory) my parents had taken some food to an Indian family, in Sahuarita AZ. Their father was a hard worker, had done some back breaking work for us, but was an alcoholic; prone to drink up the money instead of providing for his family. Their "home" was a two room cinderblock shack; no amenities whatsoever. No indoor plumbing, only a wood stove, a dirt floor, not even window screens to keep out swarms of flies. This was a real object lesson on how much I had, in contrast to others. Issues of class, immigration, culture and family covered in the series are not lost on me. I have genuine concern, not just complaining for its own sake. Because of this I ceased watching after midway through Episode 2. One cannot have a correct grasp of the story when CC "cherry picks" the dialogue.

My brother watched the first couple episodes and thought I would like it. I, for one, resist new shows. But I had just finished rewatching The Wire and had nothing new to watch, so I tried Casa Grande. And let me tell you... The plot and writing reminds me of Yellowstone, and Dallas haha There are true pearls of wisdom dropped at almost every episode. The characters are deeply layered and keep surprising you. They make you feel and cry and laugh. It's an emotional show, it displays the primal, the political and the existential. It's gnarly and it's beautiful. I'm in love with it, just like I was with Game of Thrones or Westworld.

Casa Grande is the first streaming sleeper of summer and it's a great one. I feel lucky I just happened upon this on freevee and am really surprised it isn't being promoted. It's really good, hooks you pretty quickly and takes you on a multi-layered journey through the lives of a few contemporary families in California farmland. It has a kind of Yellowstone vibe to it but if you're expecting a counterfeit copy cat of "Y" you're in for a disappointment-this one's original. Well done and very entertaining. Only complaint is that I would have liked a couple more episodes but it might not have had the same tight feel to the story. Also if you are a Scream fan I think a house in this was used in that movie. Trying to verify but I think I've seen that place before!

I follow the weekly releases of new shows and a I don't really understand why no one is reviewing this show. It is actually a lot better than much of the junk out there. 9 is probably a bit inflated but I think it deserves more attention than it is getting. The cast is great. I have no problems with the acting. The plot and writing are pretty good. I did struggle through the second episode and the annoying Boner Iver sounding soundtrack but that would probably be my only complaint. The end of that episode picked up and the rest of the show has been great I found the show to be thoroughly entertaining and am wanting more.

This is an exciting show and the actors are awesome!! Mael, Hassie, Hunter the entire cast is unreal. Love this new blood. I'm really excited about where the writers are taking this. It could go in so many directions. The end of episode 5!! WHAT??!!!! Lauren Swickard and Ali Ashfar have delivered a hit with this show. Usually it's Christmas movies from you two. What a surprise this is. Gritty, exciting leaving you wanting more. It's great this is on Amazon Freevee, so many people can stream this. Please continue this series it's really powerful. I don't want to give any spoilers but I'm so bummed one of the characters was killed. Looking forward to more. Hate having to wait.

First thing first, I always hope for a movie like this type of genre. But nowadays the shows just not good as back then. This series as good as "The Last Ship" series. Sweet heat, really!. This show is complete with enough intensity, wonderful Cinematography, great actor and acting. Plus, the storyline makes me impatient to wait for another episodes. Only 5 episodes?? C'mon let me cook the entire dishes just to eat on another casa grande episodes. Not to be left as well, the character 'john pyper Ferguson ' he too played as Tex Nolan in "The Last Ship". Extraordinary series i would say. Love it!

Casa Grande is a solidly written drama - great characters, well-crafted - that draws it's tone from a few different modern-day masterpleces. It has the feel and cinematography of Longmire, the plotting and grim outlook of The Sopranos, and the dramatic dynamics of shows like 'Dynasty' or any of the other network dramas similar to that. I have watched hundreds of limited series that peter out after an episode or two, this one keeps building all the way through. Much respect must go to the show creators and the director - these guys bring it 100%. I did not expect to get drawn into this show like I did. It's well worth your time.

This show is a must watch! It has a great ensemble cast and great acting! I was kept on the edge of my seat with the cliffhangers and ended up binging the whole thing! Everyone should be watching this show! It is timely and hits on some important issues while also remaining entertaining. I was impressed with each characters storyline and how each character was going through something completely different. The chemistry amongst all of the characters felt genuine and I was interested the whole time. If you are a fan of Dynasty type shows you will like this show! I hope they make more episodes!!

This is a great limited series. It combines the sweeping dramas of a western-themed family narrative with an au courant exploration of racial and socioeconomic disparity and strife in contemporary Northern California farm country. And on top of all that it's a great watch. It might sound heavy handed and typical Hollywood fodder, telling you what to think and how to react but this one just lets the story unfold and invites you along for the ride. The shows creators did a great job coming up with the blueprint and the director also did a great job capturing the beauty and visual feast that is Northern California. Check this one out!

I would rate this show a 0 if I could. Casa Grande is a boring, repetitive and uncreative show set in a town in Northern California where random things happen. The characters are unlikeable and the show was terrible from the beginning. Overtime, the show became drastically worse, which I didn't think was possible. The story/stories are pointless and uncreative. The acting is some of the worse I've ever seen, probably in my whole life and don't get me started on the dialogue. The scripts for some episodes are utterly awful. Some episodes don't make any sense and dialogue is thrown around for no particular reason in some scenes in certain episodes. This show fails on every level and my advice, stay away from this terrible and overrated show.
