Synopsis
Publisher's Summary It’s the great paradox of the digital age, what Radha Agrawal calls “community confusion” - the Internet connects us to hundreds, thousands, even millions of people, and yet we feel more isolated than ever, with one in four Americans saying they have zero friends to confide in. Where are our people? The answer is found in Belong, a highly energetic guide to discovering where and with whom you fit. After suffering her own bout of community confusion, Agrawal embarked on a journey that ultimately resulted in cofounding Daybreaker, a transformative phenomenon where thousands of people get up at the crack of dawn, meet in event spaces in 22 cities around the world, and dance. Now she’s distilled her experience for finding meaningful connections into a two-step process. The first step is going in. This includes determining what we want in a friend and community and what we offer, becoming intentional about our relationships, gauging the type of energy we emit and respond to, and understanding how we do - or don’t - show up for others. Then comes going out - how to find a few special friends who feed our soul; or how to find a fully engaged group with similar business, artistic, and social aims; or both. Connectedness is the most significant factor in human happiness - Belong is a creative blueprint for bringing this most important dimension back into our lives. So refreshing to read and learn from Radha.Having been to Daybreaker, she is a master of thinking outside the box.

Full of soul- stretching ideas. Lifted me higher and higher! Connection Central. Author is meaningful and relevant.

Belonging is an essential human need, something that many of us neglect in our lives. Radha does a great job of highlighting the importance of community. I didn’t really connect with all the references to her organization or hippie language, but overall her message was genuine, personal and powerful.

I enjoyed the story and the information very much.Although the audio quality was off;which is why I gavethe performance a 3star. Did anyone do audio editing? I'm a voice actor and do home recording. I am very sensitive to audio quality.Otherwise, the information shared is appreciated and valued very muchThank you..

This audiobook inspired me to be brave in meeting new people, adventurous in discovering new communities, and creative in caring for people. It showed me how wonderful a light-hearted and fun-loving approach to community can be. And it reminded me that building friendships and community takes intentionality, work, and commitment. The concrete advice that Radha Agrawal offers is on-point, but the most impactful thing about listening to this book was simply being exposed to her creativity and ENERGY. I love how she included plenty of personal anecdotes - it made the book more entertaining and relatable.

There is good advice as guidance to be found here. When the author talks about her own experiences it's much easier to identify with and digest the central theme. However more often than not when the author is trying to dispense advice whole cloth, I felt brow beaten by the aggressive shaming of people using tech. i agree that a connected life is important and does see much more fulfilling, yet the book spends too much time assuming too much about the readers habits and inclinations. I wanted more of a path to get from where I am to where I want to be, and instead at many turns got a prescription for a life that is a few steps farther down the road than i can see.

I am so excited by the content of this wonderful book.I have been thinking about so many of the issues and themes in this book before reading it. You have put my thoughts and dreams on to paper and the air waves! Thank You my dear Writer!⭐️
