Amazing music! The best Disney junior music in my opinion! Love it!! My daughter and I love the fun, bright colors, good message, and wonderful music to dance to! Hope they keep this one for a while. Nothing to complain about here - 5 stars for Ariel. The little girl also has an amazing voice. Amazing music! The best Disney junior music in my opinion! Love it!! At first glance, Disney Junior's Ariel might seem a little far and unrelated from the classic Little Mermaid franchise. However, if you set aside expectations, you'll discover a delightful and heartwarming show. Each episode offers simple yet engaging stories, making it a joy to watch. The show excels in showcasing and celebrating Caribbean culture. One of the highlights is its vibrant musical numbers, predominantly featuring Moombahton, with touches of Reggae and Bossa Nova. These genres enrich the narrative, adding a unique and enjoyable element to each episode. Overall, Disney Junior's Ariel does a fantastic job of highlighting the beauty and diversity of Caribbean culture, making it a must-watch for both kids and adults.

Why is this Ariel's hair vibrant red while the live action version was stuck with that washed out ginger? Why are all her family members black and not split between all races anymore? Why does flounder actually look like himself? Why does Sebastian suddenly sound Jamaican again? Why do we get to see the city of Atlantica here, with the merfolk involved? Why is a TV show made for preschoolers made with more love and effort than a multi million dollar live action adaptation? These shows take years to make, so that means this version existed to base everything off of. Instead, we got thrown to the wolves with the least effort put in any Disney live action made yet. I'm glad young children will have this version to grow up with but it's extremely disappointing to see what that live action could (and should) have been. It's visually beautiful, has lessons and songs in every episode and it's bright and colorful enough to keep any child enthralled!

After the hit 2023 remake of The Little Mermaid, audiences have been waiting to see more of Ariel and her unique adventures. Disney's newest animated series, Disney Jr.'s Ariel, gives us a fresh perspective of Ariel in her childhood. Even though this show is geared toward younger audiences, I definitely enjoyed the show's upbeat and entertaining style. This series follows eight-year-old Ariel (Mykal-Michelle Harris) growing up in the underwater world of Atlantica. With her best friends Flounder (Gracen Newton), Lucia (Elizabeth Pheonics Caro) and Fernie (Cruz Flateau) she goes on fun and action-packed quests. Ariel's curiosity drives her adventures, inspiring her to collect pieces of treasure and solve problems in remarkable ways. Disney Jr.'s Ariel is the perfect new show for families, especially those with younger children. The first thing that grabbed my attention when watching Ariel was its use of vibrant colors. The bright pinks, blues, and yellows are perfect for younger audiences, giving the characters energy, and keeping kids engaged in the show even if they can't quite understand the plot yet. A key moment of each episode is when Ariel's tail shimmers and changes colors when she gets an idea, or her emotions change. Not only do those colors provide energy to the show, but I predict the upbeat and catchy songs will help Ariel become a fan favorite. Mykal-Michelle Harris carries the lead role, Ariel, extremely well, showcasing her well-rounded talents as both an actress and singer. Ariel has a star-studded cast, with seasoned actors like Taye Diggs and Amber Riley joining this series as King Triton and Ursula. Each character, old and new, brings a new point of view to the story of the Little Mermaid, making this a thrilling family-friendly show. There are many positive messages from Ariel, but a prominent one is: don't be afraid of adventure. Ariel is a very curious young girl, and sometimes she faces problems she doesn't know the answer to. However, she stays persistent and makes the best out of every situation, learning something new along the way. I give Disney Jr.'s Ariel 5 out of 5 stars and recommend it for ages 5 to 12. You can find Ariel on Disney Junior on June 27, 2024 and on Disney+ on June 28, 2024. Make sure you check it out! By Maica N., KIDS FIRST!

We saw the ads for a new Ariel show from Disney but were even more excited it was going to be a spin off for Disney Junior!! They started off the show with a preview season that was only 5 minutes per episode which was a great way to get my 3 year old hooked for the full season. The full season is quite fun to watch for all the children and adults in the room. The show follows Ariel as she goes on adventures with her friends throughout her kingdom. It is also educational since one of Ariel's friends is into different types of fish. As the adults, we have even learned about different fish. What I really love is the attention to detail, Ariel's red hair has texture and it is a show focused on mermaids who would technically be in the Carribbean or West Africa. Ariel's friends are diverse which is great to see in 2024. Ursula is a loving aunt and King Triton's character is just a fun loving dad. I really like how they refreshed the characterization of the cast for Disney Junior.

A wonderful show. Watched this with my 5 year old niece who was enchanted by the stories and music. Beautifully animated and lovely life lessons. I loved that Auntie Ursula had been re-written to not be a villain incidentally she was my nieces favourite character. It was cute to watch and not super repetitive and annoying like some children's shows tend to be. We danced along to songs and had great fun. To the haters that took time out their day to give a children's show a one star review out of spite, shame on you. How sad that you can't see the beauty in other people being represented, not everything is for you.
